Hey lovelies! Wow! A lot has been going on since the launch of my new blog! I’m still so excited about it and very thankful. Lots of exciting things happened in February, and I thought I would share what has been going on!
My sweet husband, Max, just wrapped up a musical at Echo Theatre in Dallas called "Her Song." I could seriously brag on him all day long, but let’s just say I’m extremely proud of him - and he is AMAZING! He completely surprised me at the beginning of the show and brought me up onstage to sing to me :) IT WAS SO SWEET! *Swoon* He actually just launched his professional acting website - I would highly encourage you to go check it out! www.maxjswarner.com
I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change
I had the privilege of performing in the one-night-only celebration performance of "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" at Theatre Three on Valentine's Day! The show has been running for 18 years at Theatre Three, and I was fortunate enough to be in the show 3 of those years with Max. In a nutshell, the show only has 4 people in it but every scene is a different scenario of dating/married life. It is extremely relatable and hilarious! I got to play all sorts of parts! The performance was so special because many of the cast members who had performed in the show over the past 18 years came back and performed - including the original cast members. It was incredibly special and a night of theatre I will treasure forever!
During all of this excitement, I have realized a lot of things about myself internally that I believe are contributing to my anxiety. I get migraines and headaches quite often, so I’m learning to really let go and give things over to the Lord! I’m going to work on managing my stress by saying NO more and listening more to my body. Worrying does nothing, and I know the Lord has a plan for me, and for you too. It is a DAILY struggle, friends! I also made multiple trips to the dentist. I had to get four cavities filled - I've never even had a cavity before?! Let's just say the recovery was not fun! I actually ended up having to get a root canal in one of those teeth. Medical triggers are one of the things I will be discussing more in depth, but I made it through without passing out! So I feel like I’ve already made progress this year, and I’m proud of myself.
VALENTINE'S DAY
“Glamping” and rented a movie for Valentine’s Day. This was our little set up :) We had a wonderful, relaxing evening! Not to mention COMFY!
Fajita's & 'Ritas
My sister-in-law, Emma, is getting married in June, and a few weeks ago, they had a Fajitas & 'Ritas couples shower! It was SO much fun! I was so excited I got to be there to celebrate the happy couple! Of course, there are quite a few more festivities coming up, so there is a lot to look forward to!! Such exciting times! Love you, Emma & Hunter!
The Column Awards
Every year in DFW Theatre, there is an awards show called The Column Awards. It is where people all over the area get to vote for their favorite performer or show. All of the money from this night goes towards Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, so the proceeds go to a wonderful charity. More than anything else, it is a fun night getting to see people you haven't seen in AGES! There are performances for all of the Best Musical nominees. One of the shows I was in last year, "Pippin", was nominated for multiple awards including Best Musical, and I was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical (for the role of Fastrada). Not only did "Pippin" win Best Musical, but I won for my category...?! WHAT? A complete shocker, but a nice surprise. This character, this insanely amazing costume, and the cast/crew will be something I will not soon forget! I was very happy to be part of such a fun & magical show! AND again...this costume?! OMG! - I called it my "cupcake costume". I loved it so much that I bought it after the show! None of this show would have been possible without Derek & Victor. All my love to them!
*SOMETIMES I WEAR RED! Shocker! Outfit Details below!*
I am getting asked about this dress a lot! I got this dress from Modern Vintage Boutique. They mostly have casual tops and outfits, but every now and then, they will have dresses that are to DIE for! I love the GLAM look, so any chance I get to be dressed up, you better believe I'm going to do it! And yes, it's not pink. But it sure is BRIGHT & unique, and I believe that is my style :) Be sure to check out this store - they have cute clothes, all the time!
Last but not least, I started a new job! So I would say February was a FANTASTIC month! There are many exciting things that are coming up, but it will all be a SURPRISE! I cannot wait to share more details about my journey with anxiety, future collaborations, and a few shows I will be a part of in the coming months! So STAY TUNED! I just want to say THANK YOU again for supporting me and following me throughout this journey!
XOXO
